After having such fun at last year's Oxjam Beeston
Takeover, we were delighted to be asked to play again this year, and this
time we had the honour of playing the final slot at the Victory Club,
which fulfilled a life-long ambition for us! Although this was the first time
the club has participated in the Oxjam event, it is Beeston's biggest and
longest-serving music venue.
We're eagerly waiting to hear how much was raised by the Oxjam team, who did a fantastic job as always, organising over 100 artists over 14 hours!
Among our favourite artists of the day were Calm Man Club, who never ceases to give us goose bumps, and hip hop artist Juga-Naut, whose short but sweet performance was energetic, honest and passionate. As his website says, Juga-Naut "combines exquisite lyricism, experimental beats and authentic soul" to produce his unique sound.
